About the event
Join us for for the morning on farm for a workshop on making homemade Blackberry Jam, with farm sourced blackberries. We'll discuss the nuances and differences between jams, jellies, preserves, and marmalades; highlighting the differences of each. We will learn about safe canning techniques, and which techniques need to be used with specific foods. We will make a blackberry Jam and taste the fruits of our labor. Attendees will leave with recipes and a jar of jam to take home. The workshop provides a solid overview for the beginner jam-maker or seasoned chef alike.
One of the missions of Ardani Farm is to make learning accessible. This class is a "pay what you can" class to make sure that knowledge which assists with food security is available to all.
