Get ready to dig in and discover the magic of growing plants! In this first session of our Dragonfly Explorers series, kids will roll up their sleeves and learn the secrets of propagation—how plants grow and multiply. Through fun, hands-on activities, young explorers will plant seeds, start cuttings, and work in the garden, gaining confidence and skills to grow their own little green worlds. Designed for school-aged kids, this program is perfect for curious minds who love to get their hands dirty and learn by doing. Don’t miss this chance to inspire a love of nature, gardening, and discovery! Spaces are limited for this first run—sign up today to reserve your spot! This six week series starts on April 3rd and goes until May 8th. The classes will start at 9am and go until 11am. Series Focus: Propagation: How do plants grow and propagate? April 3rd: Seeds - planting seeds April 10th: Starts - planting potatoes & onions April 17th: Trees - cuttings/ experiment with willows April 24th: Pollination Project May 1st: Harvesting May 8th: Butterflies Pricing: $180.00 per child for a weekly two hour class for six weeks. Family Discount: 2 or more children make the price come down to $150.00 per child. For this series we are taking kids ages 5-18. Check out our Little Dragonfly Explorers class for kids 4 and under. Each class of the series will have a general outline your child will participate in. Morning Routine: Connecting with the farm and caring for the animals. Exploration & Observation: A nature walk and hands-on gardening and environmental stewardship. Movement & Mindfulness: Short yoga-based movements, breathwork and interactive games that get the body moving and connecting with nature. Hands-On Learning & Inquiry-Based Activities: Rotating activities based on the season and focus for that class. Our outdoor classroom program is called Dragonfly Explorers. We have designated a different dragonfly name to each age group on the farm. Ages 1-4: The Blue Dashers Ages 5-9: The Meadowhawks Ages 10-18: The Sand Dragons We are excited for the future as this program grows. We want to work together to make this tailored to each child helping to give them the best learning experience.
