Farm Life: The journey from the farm to the outside world.

This engaging six-week series invites kids to take a closer look at the intricate details of farm life while also expanding their perspective to the larger world outside the farm. Through a combination of hands-on activities, exploration, and discovery, participants will journey from the micro (the farm in front of them) to the macro (the broader world beyond). Throughout the series, children will engage in hands-on activities that foster curiosity and encourage exploration. By the end of the program, they will have gained a comprehensive understanding of the farm ecosystem and its connection to the broader world, inspiring a lifelong appreciation for nature and science. Designed for school-aged kids, this program is perfect for curious minds who love to get their hands dirty and learn by doing. This six week series starts on Thursday, September 11th and meets weekly until October 16th. The classes will start at 10am and go until 12pm. Feel free to bring a packed lunch and stay until 12:30pm to have lunch on the farm after class. Series Focus: Farm Life: The journey from the farm to the outside world September 11th: Farm Introduction and Dragonfly Exploration September 18th: Farm Ecosystems September 25th: Needs of Living Things October 2nd: Adaptations and Classification of Organisms October 9th: All About Plants October 16th: Embrace Your Inner Animal Pricing: $180.00 per child for a weekly two hour class for six weeks. Family Discount: 2 or more children make the price come down to $150.00 per child. For this series we are taking kids ages 5-18. Each class of the series will have a general outline your child will participate in. Morning Routine: Connecting with the farm and caring for the animals (horses and chickens). Exploration & Observation: A nature walk around the farm. Movement & Mindfulness: Short yoga-based movements, breathwork and interactive games that get the body moving and connecting with nature. Hands-On Learning & Inquiry-Based Activities: Rotating activities based on the season and focus for that class. Our outdoor classroom program is called Dragonfly Explorers. We have designated a different dragonfly name to each age group on the farm. Ages 1-4: The Blue Dashers Ages 5-9: The Meadowhawks Ages 10-18: The Sand Dragons We are excited for the future as this program grows.
